One of the books I’ve recently enjoyed has been profiled on Morning Edition. Librarian Nancy Pearl included it in her list of exceptional books by first time authors. And here I presumed I had the only extant copy. The book is Colson Whitehead’s The Intuitionist. It’s a fabular and mystical tale about, of all things, elevator inspectors.
